Elon Musk sent out emails to all his employees and gave them 48 hours to answer the question — "What have you been doing this week?". Details are reported by the publication Gazeta.Pl .

Donald Trump on his Truth Social platform praised Elon Musk for a "great job," but at the same time admitted that he would like him to be more aggressive.

"Remember, we need to save the country," the US president reminded.

The billionaire, who heads the deregulation group tasked with presenting the president with a proposal for mass layoffs of federal employees, quickly responded to the call.

The source quotes a letter to Musk's employees: "Soon all federal employees will receive a letter asking them to explain what they have achieved. Failure to respond will be treated as dismissal."

Federal employees were asked to provide a five-point list of "their achievements over the previous week." They are also asked to include their supervisors among the recipients of this email.

The deadline for responding to emails is Monday, that is, February 24. However, the billionaire assured that the bar is "very low," and added that "an email with meaningful points will be acceptable." As it became known to Reuters, such an email was received, in particular, by employees of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

EADaily reminds that the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the largest union of federal employees in the United States, has already announced that it will fight any wrongful dismissals. The organization's president, Everett Kelly, criticized Musk and the Trump administration, saying that this decision demonstrates "complete disregard for federal employees and the basic services they provide to the American population."

"They have once again demonstrated their contempt for the workers," he concluded.
