Kazakhstan restricts import of fish products from Latvia and Estonia

Kazakhstan like Russia has imposed restrictions on import of the Latvian and Estonian fish products.

“The Committee for the Veterinary Control and Supervision of Kazakhstan’s Agricultural Ministry has informed Rosselkhoznadzor – agricultural watchdog of Russia – of temporary restriction of the import of finished and tinned fish products manufactured by the Latvian and Estonian enterprises to Kazakhstan,” the Committee said today, on July 29.

EADaily reported earlier that Rospotrebnadzor, the Russian sanitary watchdog, banned import of canned fish of four Latvian producers starting from August 1. Earlier, on the June 4, Rosselkhoznadzor banned import of fish products from Latvia and Estonia after violations were registered in the course of inspections.
