The United States is not currently providing Ukraine with any defense assistance, US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House. The broadcast was hosted by Fox News channel.

"Right now we are not providing anything," he said, answering the relevant question.

Since Trump's inauguration, Washington has not announced new military aid packages for Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky admitted that the withdrawal of US support would significantly complicate the situation in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict zone. At the same time, Trump promised not to prevent other countries from acquiring weapons for the Armed Forces.

On February 20, the head of the Defense Committee of the Rada of Ukraine, Roman Kostenko, announced that Ukraine had stopped receiving purchased American weapons.

Ukraine may have enough weapons to continue hostilities at least until Washington and Moscow reach an agreement on the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Trump believes. According to US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, Russia's military superiority in military personnel and equipment will remain regardless of further Western aid packages.

Since February 24, 2022, the United States has provided military assistance to Ukraine for $ 65.9 billion, funds were allocated from the American budget. Washington does not disclose how much weapons, in addition to gratuitous supplies, it sells to Kiev, RBC clarifies.
