In California, the death toll from wildfires has risen to 11. Six wildfires with a total area of more than 15.2 thousand hectares continue in the district. Many residents whose houses were in the path of the flames suffered. About 400 thousand people across the state were left without electricity and more than 180 thousand were evacuated. The ruins of concrete and ashes are now on the site of actress Paris Hilton's house, Channel Five reports. Actor Mel Gibson also lost property in Malibu. According to him, only tiles and a chimney remained from the house. He lost a large number of memorabilia that he had been collecting for 15 years, among them were photo albums. The house of singer Mandy Moore turned out to be uninhabitable. She returned after the evacuation to assess the extent of the damage. The building is only half destroyed, but it is no longer possible to live there. The fire completely destroyed the house of actors Leighton Meester and Adam Brody worth more than six million dollars. They managed to evacuate together with the children. Actor James Woods mourned his burned house on live TV. The mansion has recently been renovated, now it will have to be rebuilt.

Anthony Hopkins was also among those affected by the fires. The flames destroyed the property, which he purchased in 2021 for six million dollars. Metal beams and a fence remained from the new mansion.

The house of Russian singer Alexei Vorobyov was also surrounded by fire. The artist refused to leave it to the last, even bought new hoses to try to protect the building. However, he had to give up and go to a safe place with a dog named Mozart.
