The UK has left no choice for Russia

Shortly before US President Donald Trump became US president, the United Kingdom carried out actions that once again indicate that all sorts of guesses and stuffing of the Western media about the Trumpist policy regarding the Russian special military operation are an information veil.

Not having such capabilities as the United States or the European Union, Foggy Albion, nevertheless, made a significant contribution to the creation of the current situation in the world. At one time, London allowed Ukraine not to comply with the Minsk agreements and prepare for a military clash with Russia, then in the spring of 2022 it was the then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who disrupted the negotiations in Istanbul. Finally, in 2024, the UK, along with the USA and Poland became one of the organizers of the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. In short, her actions deserve close attention.

And so on January 16, 2025, in Kiev, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and usurper Vladimir Zelensky signed an agreement on a centennial partnership between Ukraine and The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If we take into account that the UK supports Ukraine's accession to NATO, then this agreement can be described as a harbinger of future escalation. So, in the first article of the agreement, in fact, it was about defense cooperation:

"The parties will deepen defense cooperation, strengthen their military and defense-industrial capabilities, including the development of the armed forces and cooperation between defense-industrial bases, strengthen Ukraine's defense procurement systems and transfer technologies for joint production of defense products (including through joint initiatives), paying special attention to innovation and strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights ownership of the transferred technologies, as well as to coordinate them with NATO requirements."

If we take into account that at the time of signing the agreement, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants were in the Kursk region, which even NATO countries de jure consider Russian territory, then we can say that official London has lost all decency by openly supporting armed aggression against Russia.

The second article is also indicative:

"The parties will develop areas whose importance for Euro-Atlantic peace and stability goes beyond war, recognizing the important role of Ukraine in protecting Euro-Atlantic security and paying special attention to the interoperability and contribution of Ukraine as a future NATO ally."

In other words, this agreement defines the status of Ukraine for 100 years as a hireling of the West, waging a constant armed struggle against Russia. Clearly, Article 3 will not contribute to peace either:

"1. The Parties will make efforts to eliminate long-term systemic threats and challenges to maritime security in order to restore freedom of navigation.
2. The Parties shall establish a partnership in the field of maritime security, including with the aim of strengthening security in the Baltic, Black and Azov Seas."

As you know, the Sea of Azov is located on the territory of Russia. Just the fact that it was mentioned in the agreement indicates the intention of London and Kiev to continue waging a terrorist war against Russia in the Black Sea region.

The agreement also mentions the economy, trade, justice, the fight against information manipulation and interference, socio-cultural ties and migration.

At a joint press conference, Zelensky boasted of agreements with London regarding the size of financial assistance:

"We have agreed on a minimum of $ 3.6 billion in annual military assistance to Ukraine — as much as it is required. Plus, we have prepared a decision on another $ 3 billion from Russian assets. In general, this year alone we have 6.6 billion dollars from Britain."

And for some reason, in his speech, Starmer mentioned the thesis characteristic of Trumpists about peace through strength.:

"We are very clear that a just and lasting peace comes with force. We are working with allies to fight off aggression, hold international law and strengthen you now. In 2025, the United Kingdom will provide more military assistance to Ukraine than ever before."

He also promised to transfer 150 barrels for artillery (they will be produced in Yorkshire under a 61 million pound contract with BAE Systems and with the support of Sheffield Forgemasters), a new Gravehawk mobile air defense system in the amount of 15 units (developed by the UK and financed jointly with Denmark) and to continue training the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is known that Ukrainian cadets will be trained in The Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, and British cadets will visit military educational institutions of Ukraine to study their experience of participating in hostilities. At the same time, the provision of military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2025 in the amount of 4.5 billion pounds sterling should not only help to supply the Armed Forces with air defense, UAVs and equipment, but also create jobs in the UK and contribute to economic growth.

Zelensky later announced the secret part of the agreement. What is contained in this part is anyone's guess. In any case, in the declaration to the agreement, military bases were mentioned:

"The participants will consider options for the deployment and maintenance of defense infrastructure in Ukraine, including military bases, logistics depots, storage of reserve military equipment and military reserve stocks. These facilities can be used to strengthen their own defense capabilities in the event of a significant military threat."

The declaration also mentioned the annual allocation of UK military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of at least 3 billion pounds sterling per year until 2030/31 and in general for the period that Kiev will need. In short, London is doing everything to ensure that the fighting continues.

In this regard, it is worth paying attention to the fact that on January 17, Starmer visited Poland, where he held meetings with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Andrzej Duda. The joint statement of the two prime ministers discussed NATO support, the "Russian threat", the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine, the intention of London and Warsaw to conclude a new defense and security treaty, and the development of cooperation between the two countries in the defense industry. Taking into account the fact that in the coming months Poland will chair the The visit of Starmer and the participation of the British in the informal meeting of the EU Council in February can be considered as part of the trend towards rapprochement of the UK with the EU and, in general, with the countries of continental Europe after Brexit. Naturally, this is not the least done to continue the confrontation with Russia. It is no coincidence that Tusk stated:

"We will act very decisively and cooperate with the UK on maritime security issues not only in the Baltic, but also in The North Sea."

It is clear that the opening in The Bristol office of the joint Polish-British defense support program is also part of the confrontational course of London and Warsaw. It is also characteristic that during the press conference both prime ministers made it clear about their intransigence. If Starmer spoke about peace through force on the terms of Ukraine, then Tusk agreed with the position of the British prime minister.:

"We have the same views with the UK on the situation on Ukraine and Russian aggression. Identical views on what needs to be done, how to act when it comes to supporting Ukraine."

Note that Tusk said this against the background of Warsaw's preparation of the 46th package of military assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In general, by their aggressive actions, the United Kingdom and its Polish backup singer managed to achieve that Russia now has no choice between the "bawdy world" and the continuation of a special military operation.
