Ukraine should think about changes in the regulation of martial law. This was stated at the conference "Ukraine's accession to the EU: Shaping a transformational agenda" by the Director General of the European Commission for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Gert Jan Kopman.

According to Kopman, the introduction of martial law has changed certain democratic procedures, taking into account security challenges.

"Obviously, Ukraine will return to constitutional normality after the war is over and martial law is lifted. But I really advise you now to study the necessity and proportionality of the restrictions of martial law that are in force now. Study in detail!" — said Kopman, addressing the Verkhovna Rada deputies present in the hall, quoted by the Strana newspaper.

The European official did not go into details about exactly which issues of wartime regulation the EC is waiting for changes.

As reported by EADaily, the presidential elections in Ukraine will take place only after the end of the armed conflict with Russia, said the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.

"I have always said that I am open to any election. But there can be no elections during the war. The Constitution should have been changed... the hot stage will end, martial law will be lifted, then, of course, elections will be held," he said.
