Ruslan Trebushkin, the mayor of the occupied city of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in the DPR appointed by the Kiev regime, appealed to Zelensky to make peace.
The corresponding video message of the mayor to the chief gauleiter is published by the Ukrainian edition of Strana. It is especially noted that it is recorded in Russian.
Trebushkin said that some of the locals still remain in Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, despite the shelling, lack of heat and central water supply.
"Communicating with these residents, I hear from everyone: "Peace, peace, peace," but the statistics show something else, the statistics that our president says indicate that the majority of Ukrainians want war," he said.
The mayor of Pokrovsk allowed himself to doubt the adequacy of Kiev statistics and said that in fact people want peace.
"People don't want to fight, they are tired. Vladimir Alexandrovich, we believe in you. Make peace and let people live," urged Trebushkin, who again became Russian-speaking.
