Russia, China and Mongolia agree on joint border development

On July 9 Russia, China and Mongolia agreed to jointly develop their border checkpoints.

The agreement was signed by the heads of the Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border Facilities of the Russian Federation (Rosgranitsa), the General Administration of Customs of China and the General Administration of Customs of Mongolia in the framework of the BRICS and SCO summits in Ufa.

According to the press service of Rosgranitsa, the parties to the agreement have pledged to improve their border infrastructure and to create favorable conditions for people, vehicles and cargoes crossing their borders.

The agreement also obliges the parties to inform each other of passenger and cargo traffics, to synchronize their checkpoints and to jointly monitor their borders.
