The battles in the Kursk region have become record-breaking in terms of the complexity of conducting combat operations with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for the entire time of the special military operation.
Such a confession was made to the TASS news agency by the well-known commander of the Akhmat special forces detachment with the call sign Hades.
"In fact, the Kursk region is the most difficult. I have something to compare it with. The intensity of the fighting in the Kursk region, especially at the beginning, when we didn't even have time to sleep and eat. The Kursk region has broken records in terms of difficulty," the serviceman explained.
He said that before the invasion of the Ukrainian army in the Russian region, his group was sent to Volchansk, they also visited Belogorovka and Serebryansk forestry.
Aid stressed that the battles taking place in these areas were difficult, but their intensity is not comparable to the clashes in the Kursk region.
The commander also said that 14 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are fighting against the Russian army in the region with the support of mercenary units, including the American PMC Forward Observation Group (FOG).
He stressed that almost all combat-ready units of Ukraine were deployed to the Kursk region to conduct combat.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Polish mercenaries who invaded the Kursk region with the Ukrainian Armed Forces are committing war crimes against the local population by staging public executions.
