Czech President Petr Pavel called cynicism the statements of US President Donald Trump about the dictatorship of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
The Czech politician shared his opinion on the social network X (formerly Twitter). He criticized Trump's words that Zelensky is a "dictator without elections," and therefore on the Ukraine should elect a legitimate government.
Pavel asked about the value of the elections held in a country that has been "defending itself against the aggression of a neighboring nuclear power" for three years.
"How to organize elections when a fifth of the territory is occupied by the occupying forces, and the whole country is subjected to daily shelling? It takes a lot of cynicism to call the president of such a country a dictator," the Czech president complained.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump supported the need to hold elections in Ukraine, pointing out the low level of support for Vladimir Zelensky by the population.
As EADaily reported, this position is shared by the head of the US Department of Public Administration Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk. According to him, Zelensky cannot claim to represent the "will of the people" until he restores freedom of the press and stops "canceling elections."
