Representatives of Russia have not participated in any meetings within the framework of the "Burgenstock process" and are not going to participate, since it is impossible to achieve a fair and sustainable settlement of the conflict without taking into account the interests of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
So Zakharova commented on the statement of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, at yesterday's joint press conference in Kiev with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Zelensky stated the "need to strengthen Ukraine as much as possible" in order to organize the second "peace summit" in 2024, which could be held as early as November in the presence of representatives of the Russian Federation.
"Representatives of Russia have not participated in any meetings within the framework of the "Burgenstock process" and are not going to participate. This process itself has nothing to do with the settlement. This is another manifestation of the fraud of the Anglo—Saxons and their Ukrainian puppets. The so-called second summit pursues the same goal - to push the absolutely unviable "Zelensky formula" as a non-alternative basis for resolving the conflict, to achieve its support from the World majority and on its behalf to present Russia with an ultimatum of surrender. We will not participate in such "summits"," Zakharova said.
Russia is ready to discuss really serious proposals that take into account the situation "on the ground", the emerging geopolitical realities and the corresponding initiative formulated by President Vladimir Putin on June 14. It is impossible to achieve a fair and sustainable settlement of the Ukrainian conflict without Russia and taking into account its interests, she stressed.
"However, in Kiev and in the West, they don't think about peace. They need a war. This is confirmed by the bandit invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and Zelensky's permission to strike deep into Russia with long-range NATO weapons. This is a continuation of terror against the population of our country. We will not talk to terrorists," the diplomat summed up.
